Fighting Bullies with your Voice!

Now, at the end of a banner year for me personally, I look outside my microscopic world and have growing concerns about our American community at large, and in particular, the small Jewish community.
For me, it’s been a great year with my family and my sustained health (A BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO SUPPORTED THE MATHILDA FUND WITH A DONATION - By the way, it’s not too late, simply press the button and it will connect you to my donation page).
I’m living proof that quality of life comes with good health. I published OVER THERE last May, traveled to National Parks with my children, celebrated numerous birthdays and holidays, and even did my part in the kitchen. I spoke at 28 venues and countless book clubs, sharing my writing journey and the historical themes of my books.
But I continue to feel angst over the divisive direction America is heading. As a historical fiction writer, I know this is not new, and that there’s room for self-correction. But self-correction needs lift from opposing voices. Silence has never worked. As a proud Jew who had two grandfathers serve in WW1 and a father, plus two uncles who served in WW2 - all in the direct line of fire, I am abhorred by the antisemitic wave that has swept our country. The Jewish people, as well as the other immigrant groups that marked the 20th-century immigration tidal wave, have fueled invention, imagination, and the economy we now take for granted.
The only language bullies hear and fear is the sound of strong opposition. So, I will continue to VOTE in every election and use my writing platform to share my convictions. Here are a few things I plan to do:
Continue to support cancer research organizations (in part, to make up for the government shortfall).
VOTE - did I mention that already?
WRITE - the fourth book of the Gilded City Series, MAYHEM IN THE MOUNTAINS, will be released in June 2026. The story takes the reader into the 1920’s Catskills during Prohibition and the appearance of the KKK. Little did they know, they’d be up against WW1 immigrant veterans who were experts with weaponry. Hold onto your hats!

Most of all, I will continue to seek happiness every day. As I say in my author site bio, I run like the wind to stay ahead of my disease - living, family, writing - my refuge.
A deeply grateful Thank You to my readers and supporters. Wishing you all the best in 2026!
